I know where I'm headed in a few weeks! To Banner Elk, NC for the annual Wooly Worm Festival!!!
Okay, not really, but my pal Dennis Sheridan recently suggested that the Courier-Journal should have more headlines about wooly worms and, you know, that's a fine idea. I thought wooly worms didn't get much recognition (and really, they deserve it), but when I started searching I found there are wooly worm fests all over the place (even in Kentucky! In Beattyville!)
